At Pier 59 Studios, a 100,000 square-foot photography facility at New York's Chelsea Piers, I recently silver-leafed and painted several wall units and a bench. Designed by Lynn Nigro Design, the walls were to be shimmering. Mission accomplished. I added some extra effects to achieved an aged look.
This residential lobby, steps away from the Plaza Hotel, was redecorated by CPS Design. I repainted four 10' high mirror frames in silver and mercury hues. These iridescent finishes subtly echoed the pale silver tones in the window treatments. Before:
